Festival Disney

Achieve performance excellence at this Walt Disney World competitive music festival. Festival Disney gives your ensemble the chance to compete with other instrumental, vocal and auxiliary ensembles from schools across the country.

Festival Disney is open to concert bands, jazz ensembles, marching bands, orchestras, vocal ensembles, show choirs and auxiliary units. And after your ensemble has spruced up their performance skills and gained a competitive edge, they get the opportunity to explore the magic of Walt Disney World® Theme Parks!

Festival Disney 2020 Dates

To date, Festival Disney has been adjudicated by more than 150 distinguished collegiate music educators, including these instrumental education specialists:

  • Mitos Andaya, University of Georgia
  • Jerry Blackstone, University of Michigan
  • Susan Conkling, Eastman School
  • Kevin Fenton, Florida State University
  • James Morrow, University of Texas
Directors can choose non-competitive adjudication options for their performance ensembles. And even if your ensemble chooses not to compete against other ensembles, the up-tempo environment and adjudication process is sure to light the flame to compete against your last performance.

You will receive a Festival Disney Handbook with important event information. Final schedules will be emailed at least 3 weeks before the event. Every attempt will be made to accommodate your requested dates, which are scheduled based on ensemble classification and student-crossover considerations.

Instrumental and vocal performances take place at:

  • The Premiere Theater at Disney's Hollywood Studios® Theme Park: a 900-seat Backlot venue featuring the latest state-of-the-art technology Disney has to offer.
  • Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort Performance Hall: a lakeside Resort venue embodying the spirit and charm of turn-of-the-century Saratoga Springs, New York.
  • Auxiliary performances take place at Disney's Hollywood Studios® Theme Park.
Please note all registration fees must be paid in full before your ensemble is officially registered for Festival Disney.

Performance locations, schedule and activities are subject to change without notice.
